Connecting internet/phone to receiver

I've heard those Logitec wireless adapters work which connect to the router and the receiver. But for faster speed and less clutter by my router, would a wifi ethernet adapter work the same? I know lynksys makes one the alot of people use for gaming consoles. I have cable phone/internet.

I use a Netgear Homeplug adapter hooked to my router. A Homeplug is already built into the receiver, so you only need one. You could connect the receiver using a wireless bridge, too. The Homeplug was super-easy though. I had is set up and had the receiver communicating over the Internet within 5 minutes:)
