CSI: NY - 11/29/06 Cancelled

I was looking at my history and noticed it said CSI NY for next week was cancelled and will not record. Why would this happen? How does it know already today that its not going to record next week. Bug?

Are you sure its not an artifact from a recent reboot? When the unit reboots, all the guide data is purged and the scheduler unschedules everything since there is nothing in the guide. After the guide data repopulates over several hours, plus the scheduler review of the guide data, items will return to the todo list.

For example, my unit currently lists CSI:NY both in the Todo list and in the history as canceled. It was canceled and has returned.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Good question.

According to both my todo list and my guide, now that they have populated out that far, CSI:NY is a new episode and will record. (And sounds interesting too. Real trouble brewing there...) :)

It would be nice if the HR20 logged the deletion when the guide is blank as something other than "canceled" so as to not be confusing with cancellations by the station/network. But I'd rather the HR20 record everything 100% first...

Cheers,
Tom
