Anyone else having this problem with the HD channel in Guide? The Guide lists the programs appropriotely on the SD channel, but right below it for HD 629, they do not list the programs, but it is blank. This makes it impossible to set up a pre-record of any show in HD. The only way to record from the guide is to manually do it by hitting record, then stopping the recording manually. Anyone have a fix??

Has this always been the case? Or is it something new?

It is possible that DirecTV has not received the Guide Data for that channel, for that time period.

I'm having this same problem with Comcast SportsNet in DC on ch 629. You have to go manual on all HD recordings. To answer Earl's question, it has always been this way. I've had my HR20 for almost a month now.

It's especially going to be annoying when the Terps basketball season starts up.

I agree, I have season tix to the terps, but it would be nice to be able to record them in HD for when I get home to watch again, which I wont be able to do with a manual record, since I wont be home to do it.

Earl- it has been this way for me as well since I got my HR a month ago.

I've actually posted this comment a couple times now I think... the other bummer is that when you punch in the numbers 6-2-9 it goes to the SD channel and not the HD channel. I have that same problem with my MNT channel 20 (DC locals)... the HD channel is listed below the SD channel in the guide

I have the same issue, nothing in guide on 629 HD. It's been that way since I got my two HR20's about a month ago. I'm so happy to have my Wizards and Caps in HD, I didn't care too much.

It was like that with NESN HD for a couple weeks when it launched. There are no problems now. I'm sure it will be corrected in time.
Hopefully someone at D* will read this thread and correct it before Bball season. Would be nice:) Encouraging that NESN had same problem and it was corrected :)

Does anyone know when other RSNs are going MPEG4 24/7.

I'm most interested in YES, MSG and SNY.

I thought YES went off the air?? Maybe they picked up the Mets playoff games since they are still playing :)
Very funny!
