I'm really getting a hose job by D* this time. I'm in both the Cub's and Brewer's market. The Cubs are showing tonights game locally via OTA. The game is also on ESPN. D* decides I should be able to pick up the OTA signal from Chicago which is 4 hours away so they black me out of the Brewers feed and the ESPN feed. Totally ridiculous. so I forced to watch it on the little square on 720. Really makes paying for the EI package worth it..:nono2:

You are getting hosed by MLB, not DirecTV. They set the blackout rules.

I had to watch the game in SD, too, here in La Crosse. And it was hardly a little square, at least on my 42" set.

I noticed this, too, when I wanted to check their score. I'm a White Sox fan and got to watch their game so it wasn't a huge deal to me but this is a fear that I have with Chicago Blackhawk games that will be televised on WGN local this upcoming season. I've been assured, though, that if I buy Center Ice, my zip code will not be subject to blackout. These blackout rules are just a bit much, especially with SIX mlb teams claiming Iowa as their market.

Tell me about it! I live in SE Wisconsin and the stupid game was broadcast on channel 41 which is the worst SD channel we have. It is a CBS sub channel so the picture quality is horrible. Of course the game was blacked out on ESPN so no HD for me and it is MY HOME TOWN TEAM! Come on Bud Selig what are you thinking!!!
