Current Time Wrong

965 Views 12 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  RunnerFL
The current time on my system is an hour off! It's now 11:19pm and the HR20 thinks its 10:19pm. I checked my zip code thinking it might get time zones from that - and it's still set correctly. Anybody have an idea of how this happened? Is a reboot my only option to try to fix?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Resetting your DVR should solve this.
Did you go into you set-up menu and set the box to your time zone?
Yea... I verified that the correct timezone and daylight savings time were selected. I'll try a reboot and see if that fixes things.
This happened today on my HR20-100 for the second time in the past three weeks. It's also happened once on my HR20-700. Each time a reboot corrected the problem, but it is annoying.
A reboot fixed the problem. Thanks for your help! I've never had this problem before and hopefully won't have it again!

Last Night 8-18-08 at around 9:00PM current time went an hour back as well on my hr-20-100. Did RBR to no avail then did a hard boot this morning and everything is okay now.
Add me to the list of people to have this happen...

On one of our boxes (HR21P-200) the time is an hour behind. The other two boxes are fine. All three are set for Auto (Eastern) timezone and Auto DST. Weird.

Which type of reset should I do?
I think I'm going to invent a little solenoid thing that mounts on the front of the HR to jab the red button periodically throughout the day. I may incorporate a photoreceptor as an extra cost option to detect if the recording light is on or not.

I'll be rich!

Oh, the red button reset fixed the clock...

I tried doing an RBR (Red Button Reset) but didnt work so I just unplugged it for a few secs and booted it back up and it was fine then.
I've seen this happen on my HR20-100 a few times. I've found that going into the settings and changing the TZ to one, saving that, and then going back in to correct the TZ fixes the issue without a reboot.
