I'm assuming you're using Internet Explorer? Download Opera (it's only 7 megs) and download Firefox (it's only 8 megs), do they crash in those browsers?

If not, it may be Flash. You'll want to uninstall and reinstall the Flash player for Internet Explorer, Adobe has that information on their support website. Or you may just need a simple reload.

used the web (flash) client most of the afternoon & work perfect

I have not been able to get the adobe air version to work the last 2 weeks, but have used the web based version both weeks.
