I got a new D11-500 to replace an old RCA directv box. Since I got the D11 it has been losing picture as if I was getting rain fade. I did the force update and that helped for awhile, but im still having to problem again. To me it really seems like a software problem. The only thing that fixes it now is a full reset.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Can you describe the problem with more detail? What error message, if any, do you see on the TV?

* How often does this happen?
* Does this happen on all channels, or just a few? Which ones?
* What are your signal readings on the various satellites?
* Do you have other DirecTV Receivers? Do they also have this problem?

All the time now.

Well its happening on every channel.

Nope, this is the only receiver thats doing this.

I think it's the Receiver. I'm going to get a replacement for it.

If you have other Receivers that are working fine, try swapping one with the "bad" Receiver. If the "bad" Receiver stays bad at the "good" location, then you know it's a defective Receiver.

Do you have dual dishes? Possibly a bad port on the external switch. We live in one of the dual dish areas, and is very common. Especially when the empty ports are left uncapped and water can enter.
