D12-100 and Windows Media Center

I would like to apologize up front, as I am sure this question has been asked 1000 times. I spent some time searching for the answer and wasn't able to find one so here I go...

I have a D12-100 reciever hooked up next to my PC. I am running Windows XP Media Center.

When trying to set the reciever up to run with WMC... it is telling me that it doesn't recognize the remote.

Now I can just make stuff up and get all the way through it and use the DTV remote, but I can't use the guide and the DVR option of WMC is of no use to me.

Anyone know how I can remedy this situation? Any help would be greatly appriciated. I am not super techy but I do my best.

Thanks.

You have to train the pc to work with the box. I use a d11-500 receiver on a windows media center pc without problems.
I have the identical problem. I have tried 'training' thru the MCE setup and tried ALL the reciever codes availalbe. No help. I have xp with sp3 and the latest MCE updates. Did you find a solution? I would like to control the reciever from MCE, but short of a possible upgrade to Vista, I have not found a solution

I have an HP DEC z560 I bought new in July.
Thanks.

The learning function of the MCE is VERY touchy. I finally got it to work by making sure there was almost no ambient light (daylight) and holding the original remote very close to the MCE receiver. I had the same issue with an older DISH box, but finally got it to learn.
