I had my Dish installed last November, an install that lasted 6 hours! And this in a brand new home with all the internal wiring done, and all cable/phone in a single wiring cabinet. One of her main problems, which required the assistance of another installer who had to drive to our home from another job at 7 PM, is that where she located the dish on our house it limited her ability to move the dish to the right to pick up a signal. So he helped her relocate for best line of sight. It's in an area of the house I don't typically view and I noticed yesterday that the entire right side of the dish is mangled, which she must have done in a lone attempt to position the dish on her first attempt.
My question is this: does the shape of the dish affect signal reception. I have HD on 2 TV's with a 722 and a 222 and have had no problems. Just wanted to make sure I shouldn't be going back on E* for a new dish.

If there's no problems with signal...then I wouldn't even worry about it!
