DB4 vs. Lacrosse Antenna

Has anyone used the Lacrosse antenna? DB4? In anticipation of OTA - I'm starting to think about adding an antenna. I'm just over 30 miles away from my locals and in the trees a bit. I can use a uni-directional but tuning it to all the locals has proved to be a challenge. Not to mention I want to use a mast that is just behind a solid object (my home's second level).

Why do you think signal is going to go through your house and still be strong enough to use? Locate the antenna where it has as clear a look at the broadcast towers as possible:)
