I can sort of understand why people watch the shopping channels - they can buy something. But why would anyone watch a channel that is nothing but commercials? Am I just so old I'm totally out of touch?

Well I don't quite understand the reaction about any channel at all. Who cares? If there are people taking it personal and decide to leave E* for this reason, one can assume some people may decide to stay with E* or switch to E* for the same reason.

As for me, thanks to DVR technologies, I can actually manage to avoid been exposed to any of the poiltical stuff during the election times, and have been done so for the last couple of cycles. And my blood pressure has been back to normal in the last few years.

Now the court fight between E* and TiVo, that is another matter
