Took the plunge and switched back to C* today. I swear I read somewhere that the DECA modules can be used to send internet through the coax cables even if you're not using directv.

I want to send internet to my basement through DECA for my Xbox. I tried just leaving my powered DECA in the office(where it was) and hooking up a DECA to a comcast box in the basement. I got no picture on my tv and none of the lights lit up on the DECA.

Does anyone know how to make this work???

Maybe someone with Comcast can say if they use the frequencies that DECA does. If they do then you cannot use it like that. However I would ask on a Comcast forum.
I think that has been brought up before. DirecTV uses frequencies slightly different than the standard MOCA standard, which is why they cannot be used for typical MOCA installations, IIRC.

Yeah get MoCA instead of DECA.
