The boxes remember your zipcode in the access card, they remember your guide DMA zipcode(s) (in another place!), they remember the last channel tuned, even if the box has been unplugged for weeks!, they remember the TV type, format you prefer (stretch, crop, box, etc.), but they can't remember a few bits of interactive information? Sigh.
Blame not the programmers, this is a product specification issue, IMHO.
Default zipcode in active channels
Everytime HR20 box resets, the zipcode defaults to CA. Why can't they pick it up the default zipcode in the satellite setting option? This is a pain I have to type it in once in a while. It's not a really big deal but it's doable and they have no clue...
