I ordered my HR20 upgrade around Christmas and my order was transferred over to Ironwood. Ironwood was supposed to call me but instead of waiting I called them. They wouldn't schedule an installation until Jan. 1. On Jan. 1 I called again and was able to schedule an installation.

Anyone familiar with Ironwood know if the delay is because of equipment scarcity or were they just waiting for the calendar to roll over?

Also, anyone in the Denver area getting HR20 installs, or am I just going to wait until next week and then get a phone call to postpone my installation?

My experience with Ironwood and an HR20 install in October was awful!!! Ironwood does not tend to make scheduled appointments and also might cancel the day of the install..... Best of luck and I'd suggest scheduling on weekends if you have to miss work during the week.

I did get an AM Saturday appointment so hopefully if someone gets bumped that day it won't be me.

My last experience with Ironwood was also odd. The installer put up a dish that supposedly had a "bad LNB" that was shorting Tuner 2 to the R15 -- there was no DC voltage on the line so he couldn't use his inline signal meter. It took him hours to figure this out after initially blaming the R15 (which was new at the time). Anyway, he did figure it out and supposedly this was a 1 in 1000 kind of problem.

My work order with Ironwood does list one of the newer Slimline dishes so hopefully I won't have a problem like that again. However, I'm guessing the dish is too big to install on the side of my house, so I'm curious where he'll want to put it.
