I've searched around and can't find too much info on the showcase feature. Is it enabled yet? If so, how does it work? If not, how is it going to work?

It is not enabled yet on the HR20.

Take a look at the R15 forum, to get an idea on what Showcases are going to offer.

No timeframe...
They are focused on getting the box stable and functioning with the current feature sets.
