Just six months after launching, Scripps Networks' Fine Living channel completed a distribution agreement with DirecTV that will boost its availability to more than more than 12 million U.S. households.

Fine Living will be added to DirecTV's Total Choice programming package by Oct. 1, and will appear on channel 232. The widely distributed package will extend Fine Living's reach into an additional 10.7 million homes. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In another programming development for the satellite TV company, JetBlue Airways, NBC and DirecTV announced that WNBC and Telemundo will be the first broadcast and Spanish-language networks to air live during commercial flights, via the DirecTV Airborne service.

WNBC, the New York City-based NBC owned and operated station, and Telemundo, the second largest U.S. Spanish-language television network, also owned by NBC, will join CNBC and MSNBC as part of the up to 24 channels of real-time programming available through the in-flight service.
