Directv Amp

My current apartment complex requires that my dish be back in a bush sticking out of the top. Anyway I was wondering if I had a Amp installed if that would boost some of my low signals?

No. The only cure for low signals is proper alignment and clear line of sight.
As dave said, the only real cure for low signals is better alignment of the dish.

The signal is digital, not analog, so loss over the wiring is minimal as long as you are within the specified limits (around 200ft most of the time).

Also keep in mind shooting through trees/foliage can reduce your signal.
RG-11 coax should get you to at least 300 feet.
The only signal amplifiers that exist that I know of only correct moderate voltage drop and in the 950-1450mHz range to boot. If the signal is piss-poor because of bad alignment or LOS issues, you're just amplifying a piss-poor signal. Not improving it at all.

I used to use RG/8. This really takes me back. That stuff was super expensive and a bear to work with.

RG11 is even more fun, its like working with a solid metal stick pretty much
