My Directv app doesn't recognize the HR24 receiver. I have the receiver connected to the Internet through a router. The IP address for both have 192.168.2.xxx. When I manually enter the IP address in the Directv app it says searching for receiver. Any suggestions?

Another thought... Are you sure you have logged in to the iPad app using the DIRECTV account associated with the HR24?

That would help with troubleshooting.

So you're not using SWiM and you have CAT5 connected from the HR24 to your wireless router right? The same router that the iPad is connected to?

I just want make sure the iPad and the HR24 are on the same network.
The IPad has an IP address 192.168.2.101.
The network IP address when I go to menu>settings>info & test is 192.168.2.100.
