We've had DirecTV for only about 2 weeks now and today we ordered our first Cinema movie (The Amazing Spider-man). It started playing and had this constant stutter. When I changed the HR34 resolution to 1080i it goes away. My TV is a 1080p TV and even supports 24fps, Blu-rays play just fine at 1080p/24fps so I know the TV is not the issue. Yes, I'm using HDMI and it is plugged directly into the TV, not going through a receiver or anything.
I don't see how it could be my internet connection because every speed test I do gets between 17Mbps and 22Mbps, that should be fast enough (at least it is with every other streaming service like Netflix 1080p). The movie shows up in our recorded list but, doesn't appear to be downloading in the background like other On Demand content. Is this stutter issue common, is there anything else I could try to troubleshoot the problem?
Good thing is that when I switch the HR34 to 1080i, I don't see a huge drop in picture quality so, it will not be that big of a deal if I have to leave it like that.
Thanks for any help.
