I plan to use only a single HDDVR (HR24) to replace my current SD DVR (DirecTivo.) I'm hopeful I can have a few questions answered:

• Do I need the new 3 lnb or 5 lnb dish? We're in California and don't plan to watch any international programming.
  
• Is the equipment less / easier to install if I go with a non-Swm dish? We already have two lines in place, so a single line is not important to us.
  
• Do I need the power inserter if I go with a non-Swm dish?
  
• Will I need to install b-band converters?
