I notice that they have CW as channel 5, does WCBI provide a HD feed of the CW for cable? I know on OTA it is 4.3 and in SD only.
To my knowledge, there is no HD feed of the CW provided to cable. I think that what is up now is an MPEG4 SD feed that will only be available to subscribers with HD equipment.

I guess they are just adding the CW feed that WCBI sends out. That is what they do in the Huntsville market. WZDX has the My Network affiliate for Huntsville on 54.2, it has the ficticous call letters "WAMY MY 8." It is channel 8 on cable I think, but DirecTV has it as channel 6. It is SD just like WCBI 4.3 is.

Just updated the LatinAm TPN Map, reflecting data of 2/28/12.

This is the most accurate and most inclusive LatinAm TPN Map yet published. Thanks to some very dedicated and caring folks!

Last week, D5S showed up carrying only 26 "Addressable Advertisement Push" SD channels. The channels all show up in the LIL data section, assigned to Network 624 (Los Angeles). This week's TPN Map shows 8 additional "Addressable Advertisement Push" channels:
+2 SD on D8
+5 HD on D12
+1 HD on D11

So we now have 34 "Addressable Ad Push" channels, 6 of which are in HD. Goody.

How long do these typically stay in *TEST status?
Without doing any homework, it seems the transition from *TEST to ACTIVE rarely runs beyond four weeks.

But don't place any bets. We have also had occasions where channels went from *TEST back into oblivion.

I have had questions about the Domestic Excel file being corrupted. It is not. All versions of Excel can open and read the file; problems occur when trying to sort or manipulate the data.

We are bumping our head on the upper limit of what Excel can handle in the old 97 Excel format, .xls.

We are providing the Domestic TPN Map in the old 97-Excel format as a common denominator, so that older versions of Excel will work. Folks have complaints about functionality when using the free Excel Reader.

Our current TPN Map now runs just under 9,000 records. In the old 97 Excel format, it is about 2.3 MB. In the newer .xlsx format, the same data requires about 900 KB.

There are two options available:

  1. For Excel 2010 users: just save the .xls file as a .xlsx file. Close Excel, then open the .xlsx version. This newer, smaller version will run fine.
  2. For Excel 97 users: delete the pages or tabs in the Excel that are not of immediate use - i.e. cut down the file size. Save the remaining data as an .xls. Close Excel then open the stripped-down .xls.

I see that there is a TEST channel on network 666 ch 11 transponder22. Description shows A3 Raleigh-Durham NC 28 WRDC.

This channel is currently only in SD on Directv.
The channel # is actually 28. Ch 11 is WTVD ABC .
Also behind the description it has WHTMDT3196.

Is this WRDC28 My Network TV HD being tested?

That's just silly. A secondary PBS, this one out of Cookeville (associated with Tennessee Tech, I think) in the Nashville DMA, while we have had Channel 30 WUXP in TEST mode for darn near forever. I broke down and emailed the station's engineering department about 4 or 5 months ago and they indicated "sometime in 2012" as when Directv would be carrying them in HD. :nono:

Just to note;

From LameLefty quoting gct;

2 New Active HD LIL Channels from *TEST: ...
LL, I think you attributed the wrong part of gct's previous post to the Nashville and Savannah stations.

That statement was for the two new Miami and San Francisco stations which are "from test" and thus now active.

The Nashville and Savannah station are still listed as "new test" stations and thereby still in test mode.

No, I understand that. I meant that it's silly to even have test channels for a second PBS station in this DMA when there has been another, much more widely watched station stuck in SD hell forever, which has had their HD transponder space stuck in "TEST" just as long.
