I'm thinking if I cannot get a directv tivo HD DVR I'd like to replace my HR21 box. Problems have been occuring recently with slowness has been driving my family nuts.

I'm thinking of the HR24 or anything higher than that. What experiencinces have you had with the HR24 or the newer DVRS. I'd like to try to finalize my purchase by next week.

The 24 is certainly faster, and doesn't need an external DECA. To guarantee one, you need to get one from a reseller. DirecTV can guarantee a 34, but there are still software issues with it.

You can get a Tivo from DIRECTV but if you will only accept a HR24 or want to avoid the CSR hassle with the Tivo then you will need to order them from a third party like SolidSignal.com
