Anyone Else think thats like the worst lineup ever
yes its pretty much useless. not only that, you add in dvr fee of 5 bucks, extra receiver fee of 5 bucks, HD fee of 10 bucks, now youre at 49.95..guess what, basic cable is cheaper and you get more channels...

IDK why you would add HD to that package.
I think there are only 3 HD Channels offered on it anyway.
The Family pack is for people who dont watch alot of TV, or cant afford alot of TV. It includes basic channels for the kids, a few 'women' channels, and a few 'men' channels

And they probably only have 1 TV and a single standard receiver.
Thats all my parents had and my mother still does she would flip out if she knew what I pay for TV.;)

Nope I think Dish's Family Pak is worst because Dish's Family Pak does not have the Disney channels or PBS Sprout or several other channels.;)

Now some subscribers(like myself) will probably never subscribe to the DirecTV's Family package we have to subscribe to DirecTV Premier package.:)

Some people might like it but it's not for me. It basically looks to me like they just took out all the expensive channels so they could claim to have a low priced package on all their commercials. I know some people want only family friendly content but it fails at that too. It includes LinkTV, which doesn't edit any of their documentaries and movies. That means it contains uncensored profanity quite often and occassional uncensored nudity (and usually with TV-PG and TV-14 ratings!). So if that's the reason you got that package then block that channel.

The funny part is for $3 more you can get Preferred Choice which is a full lineup of all the most popular channels. It's basically like E*'s AT100.
is that still available? its not advertised. what about the platinum package that has everything included...can you still get that?

That would be the Titanium package, which has EVERYTHING. It was a $10k upfront cost, and stopped being offered in March of '07.
thanks for the reply. was that the only cost? if it was i may have been interested...did it include all the outlets andequipment you wanted? was there a monthly fee also?

It was $10,000 a year, you had to pay on credit card (but it could have been split between two cards), up to ten receivers free at initial install. But it couldn't have been mirrored to separate homes, you had to get the $10k one at one home first, then spend an additional $5k per additional home.

It was a pretty hefty package, but they don't offer it anymore at all, so it'd be pointless to ask.

someone in another thread said it is 7500 per year.
