lol. Why would we want to downgrade like that?betterdan said:3 free months of DISH.
To get a handful of national HD channels that they can't get from D*?joshjr said:lol. Why would we want to downgrade like that?
October starts the 4th quarter of the fiscal year. Generally all companies out there have quarterly offers that change as the year goes on. The only thing that changes with D* is that the NFL offer usually overlaps 3rd and 4th quarter.Drew2k said:Why is October special? I can't remember last month, let alone last year - does DIRECTV run new promotions in October?
Well the current promotion for NFL and Premier package says that it ends on 9/30/08 so I am guessing yes a new promotion.Drew2k said:Why is October special? I can't remember last month, let alone last year - does DIRECTV run new promotions in October?
My theory is that many people actually expect Directv to fulfill some of their promises about new programing sometime within the current decade.Drew2k said:Why is October special? I can't remember last month, let alone last year - does DIRECTV run new promotions in October?
The offer has actually been extended to 10/7/08 now. So we have to wait a bit longer for the new deal.joshjr said:Well the current promotion for NFL and Premier package says that it ends on 9/30/08 so I am guessing yes a new promotion.
Yep . . . :nono2:Dolly said:I don't see that it matters since "new deals" are usually for "new customers" only![]()
If you hate it so much... leave! When was the last time you made a positive response to anything?Azdeadwood said:My theory is that many people actually expect Directv to fulfill some of their promises about new programing sometime within the current decade.
It is just unfounded optimism. It has been very clear to me that Directv makes wild promises and then delivers on only some of those promises - but never in the time frames they originally state. It is the old "COMING SOON!" BS that Directv is so famous for.
So what specific promises did Directv make? BE SPECIFIC!Azdeadwood said:My theory is that many people actually expect Directv to fulfill some of their promises about new programing sometime within the current decade.

Nine days and no response? What's the matter?Azdeadwood said:My theory is that many people actually expect Directv to fulfill some of their promises about new programing sometime within the current decade.

Perhaps a better question would be "What is DIRECTV's response?".raoul5788 said:Nine days and no response? What's the matter?
