DirecTV question about certain channel

DirecTV's transmission of SoapNet

I have a question for anyone who may be able to answer…

I notice on SoapNet, a show like Knots Landing is scheduled to air 10 A.M. and 3 P.M. (weekdays). However, in my Detroit market area, SoapNet apparently has given me the west-coast feed because Knots reruns air at 1 P.M. and 6 P.M.

Is there anyone else living in an Eastern Standard Time area of the United States who experiences this?

I must say that I'm not complaining. I just find it rather surprising.

A few months ago, during the spring, I think, DirecTV switched from SoapNet's East Coast feed to the West Coast feed. Everyone in all time zones gets the West Coast feed.

When they made the switch, speculation was that they switched because viewers on the West Coast could see the current episodes on SoapNet before they could see them on ABC.

And OK, I'll admit it. I just finished watching the entire run of Knots on SoapNet. The final episode aired on Friday, and they start up again from the beginning on Tuesday, October 1.
That is not what happend. Soap net launched a new West Coast feed on Feb 4 2002. There were some problems and some cable companys got the correct feed while others, like the one in my area, and DBS providers got the wrong feed. This still has not been corrected and it has nothing to do with the West Coast seeing them before they see them on ABC. That isnt possible.
