True, but the movies in your Movies Anywhere account can be linked to your Vudu account.I'd rather Directv partnered with VUDU instead. I have 202 movies and a tv show with Vudu and only 158 movies with Movies Anywhere because they don't have the backing of all the major distributors yet.
Not a dumb question and yes, you can. As techguy88 told me using your DIRECTV remote select List - Purchases - Purchase Collection. There you'll find the movies that are listed in My Movies in your Movies Anywhere account.Dumb question...is it possible to watch previous Movies Anywhere titles that weren't purchased through Directv, on the Genie?
No, you don't have to pay for the movies that were linked through your Movies Anywhere account. AT&T/DIRECTV lists them as Pay Per Views that are already purchased. Using your DIRECTV remote press List - Purchases - Purchase Collection. Press Info on one of your movies then press the right arrow and scroll down to the bottom. There you will see the time and date that movie was purchased and added to your linked account. Example: I linked my Movies Anywhere account with DIRECTV on 25 June 20 at 17:42 hrs. All the movies in my linked collection have that date and time posted. Keep in mind some of the movies in your Movies Anywhere account may not be listed in your linked DIRECTV account because they are not currently available for viewing with DIRECTV.Silly Question=I see the $ on the movies I linked from the Movies Anywhere website. Does that mean still have to pay for those even though I didn't order them directly through Directv? I have 237 titles.
Check your Movies Anywhere account to see if it's linked with your DIRECTV account (sometimes linking fails and needs to be done again).i have just linked my MA account to Directv. At this point, i don't see any movies under "purchases". I actually don't see any reference to MA anywhere i look thru my receiver.
I have HR44/500 running 0x1420. What can i do so that this receiver can see my MA movies.
Using your DIRECTV remote press LIST, arrow left and scroll down to PURCHASES and select. Purchase Collection should appear. Most, if not all of your 94 movies in your Movies Anywhere account should appear. But your saying when you do this Purchase Collection does not appear, correct?i have 94 movies in my MA account.
I have linked ITunes, VUDU, Prime and Google Play. All seem to work.
As an example of what i am seeing.
I have Age of Ultran in my MA account in HD. I can see it on all of my connect retailers.
I have never purchased a movie within directv, so, before i linked my MA account, i had nothing listed under "Purchased" list.
I have now linked MA with directv (disconnected and connected a few times) and have waited for more than 24 hours.
When I go to my list and scrolled down to purchases, it says "No Purchases Yet! After you purchase a recordable movie or show, it will appear here. Visit Directv Cinema to find something awesome to record".
On the directv app on my phone. i navigate to "Playlist" and touch the "Purchases" button and it says "You don't have any programs in your Purchases playlist".
I see no way of finding the "Purchases" list on directv.com anywhwere.
I recently added the movie "1917" to my Movies Anywhere account but it doesn't show in my DIRECTV link. It shows in the other links (Vudu, iTunes, Google Play and Prime Video). That said, it appears the DIRECTV link isn't receiving data from Movies Anywhere and might be the reason for your movies not appearing. That is correct. Nothing appears. Here is what it says:
"No Purchases Yet! After you purchase a recordable movie or show, it will appear here. Visit Directv Cinema to find something awesome to record"
It's past 12:00 CST. I just checked my DIRECTV link and I'm still not seeing the movie "1917" in my DIRECTV link. It was added to my Movies Anywhere account on Friday, 27 November 2020 so it appears my DIRECTV link is still not receiving data from my Movies Anywhere account.Fix was deployed earlier today. It should take effect by noon CST tomorrow (12/3). I bought "1917" from Prime when I saw MysteryMan's post and it didn't show up on my STB, mobile app, or directv.com a couple of days ago. I'll check if this title appears on DIRECTV tomorrow and let you know. Feel free to check your DIRECTV accounts too. Thanks for your patience.
I just unlinked/relinked my DIRECTV account with my Movies Anywhere account. I then checked my DIRECTV link and the movie "1917" now appears in my list. Hopefully the fix kicked in and we won't have to unlink/relink every time we add a movie to our account.Hi MysteryMan,
Yes I don't see "1917" either on DIRECTV. I'm following-up with the team to see why it's not showing up. It sounds like Steve had success in seeing many of his movies on DIRECTV after he unlinked & relinked his DIRECTV account. Can you try doing that as well? Let me know if that works.
Ron, my Movies Anywhere account is linked with DIRECTV. The title "Air Force One" is available from DIRECTV. The title "Air Force One" came in both 4K and HD. I added it to my Movies Anywhere account last month. But as I stated it is not listed in my linked DIRECTV account.Hi MysteryMan,
From the report I just ran, I don't see any failures where an MA user bought Air Force One from another linked MA retailer (e.g. iTunes) and did NOT see it on their DIRECTV STB, directv.com, or mobile app.
The below are the conditions that must be met for you to access Air Force One on DIRECTV. These conditions are in the FAQs on www.directv.com/moviesanywhere. If all these conditions are met and you still don't see the title on DIRECTV, please let me know.
1) Your DIRECTV satellite and the other digital retailer account are connected to your Movies Anywhere account.
You can verify this by going to the following URL:
Sign In | Movies Anywhere
2) The movie title is also available from DIRECTV.
I see the movie on directv.com so it's available:
3) The movie title is in High Definition resolution or higher
DIRECTV only has MA titles in HD or 4K. If you bought Air Force One in SD from another retailer (e.g. iTunes) then it won't show up on DIRECTV. Sorry!
4) It can take up to 24 hours for an MA title purchased from another connected MA retailer to show up on DIRECTV
Thanks for being a DIRECTV customer!
I purchased "Air Force One" 4K Ultra HD disc from Best Buy last month. It came with a digital code (sonypictures.com/MAredeem). After I entered the code it appeared in my Movies Anywhere account. My Movies Anywhere account is linked with DIRECTV, Vudu, Google Play, Microsoft, Prime Video, and AppleTV. "Air Force One" is listed in my linked accounts with Movies Anywhere except DIRECTV.Hi Mystery Man,
Let me see if I can reproduce the issue you're having. Which retailer did you buy Air Force One from?
DTV MA Guru
"Air Force One" is accessible on all my linked accounts with Movies Anywhere except DIRECTV which doesn't list it. The code has been used and cannot be used again.Hi Mystery Man,
Are you able to access Air Force One in Vudu, Google Play, Microsoft, Prime Video, and AppleTV? I'm wondering if this issue is specific to DIRECTV only.
Also, can you try redeeming the digital code at the Movies Anywhere site and see if that resolves your issue of not seeing the movie on DIRECTV? Let me know if this does not work.
Can I watch movies I've already purchased on Blu-ray or DVD on Movies Anywhere?
DTV MA Guru
The answer to questions 1-3 is yes. Question 4: I unlinked and relinked my Movies Anywhere account with DIRECTV and it corrected the issue. "Air Force One" is now listed (1080p) in my DIRECTV linked account with Movies Anywhere. Thanks Ron.Got it. Can you answer the following questions? Your answers will help me troubleshoot this. I don't see Air Force One in 4K being available on DIRECTV. In that case, you should see the HD version on the STB, mobile app, and directv.com.
1) Do you see Air Force One in HD on the STB?
2) Do you see Air Force One in HD on the DIRECTV mobile app?
3) Do you see Air Force One in HD on directv.com?
4) Have you tried unlinking and relinking your DIRECTV account to MA? If not, please try this and let me know if you still can't see the movie on DIRECTV

I've added quite a few movies in the past six months to my Movies Anywhere account and all of them appeared in my DIRECTV linked account except "Air Force One". Any idea what caused the issue?Great! Glad you were able to resolve the issue. This has been "DTV MA Guru" you've been corresponding with ... Not "Ron" (aka ron_s).

I experienced a similar issue awhile back. Disconnecting DIRECTV from my Movies Anywhere account and reconnecting DIRECTV to my Movies Anywhere account solved the issue.I am experiencing another DTV/ Movies Anywhere problem. I purchased Encanto on 02/17 through Movies Anywhere app and it shows up successfully on my purchases collection page on my Directv receiver.
However, when I go to play the movie, it prompts me to pay for a rental. It shows up as eligible for purchase or rental on the DTV cinema website. However, DTV customer service claims it is only available for rental and not purchase, and that their own website is incorrect.
To make matters worse, because I did not purchase the movie directly through Directv, they claim to have no record of a purchase.
I am hoping someone on here may be of some help, and knows what to do.
In closing, I can view the film through the movies anywhere app, but not my Directv receiver. This is so frustrating.
