Well, SD movies in your Movies Anywhere library don't transfer over and there's no option to upgrade them to HD for a small fee, so the 9 SD movies I have I'll have to purchase again (bummer).

Also, there are three bugs that I ran into:
1) The original "Steven King's IT" was in my Movies Anywhere account prior to linking. DIRECTV thinks this is the "IT" released in 2017. After linking, Movies Anywhere still lists the correct movie.
2) Two movies that I purchased elsewhere I apparently purchased in 4K. After linking, they show up in the purchases list with a red circle. The only way to play them is to press Play, wait for an error message stating my TV doesn't support 4K, select the option to Search for matching programs, and then play the 1080p or HD version of the movie from that menu. I would've expected it to just play one of those versions automatically instead of making me go through that whole process.
3) One of my movies that was purchased on DIRECTV shows up twice in the purchased list after linking.

Which movie shows up twice in the purchased list after linking?
Scooby-Doo: Return to Zombie Island.

When I go into the first one, it says "This pay per view was purchased at 12:02a, Fri, Jun 5."

The second one says "This pay per view was purchased at 9:48a, Thu, July 2."

If I record one, it shows both as recorded. So it does realize it's the same movie. Not a big deal, just odd.

Hi DTVMAGuru, sorry it took so long to respond. I do see the correct IT movie now. However, I am now having more problems than I did before; I've even rebooted my HR44 and disconnected and reconnected DTV to movies anywhere, but it didn't fix any of the problems.

I just send the log as requested. Here's the log I sent: 20200727-MZ2Y

Here are the problems I'm running into now:

Scooby-Doo: Return to Zombie Island is no longer showing up twice.

These movies aren't showing in my Purchases folder on my HR44:
Aladdin (the original from 1992)
Ghostbusters (the 2016 remake)
The Maze Runner: Death Cure
The Onion Movie
Red Army

I checked each of these, they are all available on DTV Cinema but there's two things to note: The Onion Movie is available to rent, not to own, yet it shows that it's eligible for movies anywhere on the movie description page. Red Army is not available on DTV Cinema at all, so I'm guessing that's why it's not showing up. I do own the other two Maze Runners, as well as Aladdin and the King of Thieves and The Return of Jafar. They're showing as expected. Not sure if that helps or not.

These movies are now showing up twice in the list:
Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Sometimes White Boy Rick is listed twice.
When White Boy Rick is only listed once, Rampage is listed twice.

In the case of all three duplicates, they show different date/times of purchase.

These movies are now showing up even though I never purchased them. They are not showing up on any of my other linked retailers, or on the movies anywhere website:
How to Train Your Dragon
Pacific Rim

It may or may not help to know that I did purchase How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and Pacific Rim Uprising. These two movies are showing as expected in the purchases folder.

I hope all this info helps! Let me know if you need anything else!

Hi! Thanks for the response! And actually I had purchased the sequels, not the originals. While I have you, I have another question. There are two movies I purchased from my HR24, one is still recorded on it and able to view, the other was deleted. There's no way to get them to show up in my purchased folder is there? And if I'm correct, I'm basically screwed on the movie that was deleted, because it won't let me watch it without paying again if I search for it again.

I've had this issue with Mrs Doubtfire. Purchased it on Amazon on 6/19, shows up on iTunes and Vudu, but not on my DTV account. Oddly enough, when you search Mrs Doubtfire from the DTV STB, the movie doesn't have a Movies Anywhere logo. So it's like DTV doesn't recognize Mrs Doubtfire as movies anywhere eligible.

Hi ron_s,

I just checked my STB and see the MA logo on Mrs Doubtfire. Please make sure the following conditions are met if you don't see that movie on your STB ...

1) Your DIRECTV satellite and the other digital retailer account are connected to your Movies Anywhere account. You can verify this by going to the following URL -> Sign In | Movies Anywhere

2) The movie title is also available from DIRECTV. Search for it on the STB, mobile app, or directv.com.

3) The movie title is in High Definition resolution or higher
DIRECTV only has MA titles in HD or 4K. If you bought an MA title in SD from another retailer (e.g. iTunes) then it won't show up on DIRECTV. Sorry!

4) It can take up to 24 hours for an MA title purchased from another connected MA retailer to show up on DIRECTV

Thanks for being a DIRECTV customer! :)
Hi there. Yes, Mrs Doubtfire now shows as MA on my STB (it didn't a few weeks ago), but still doesn't show up in my purchases. And yes, in purchased it in 1080p HD from Amazon Instant Video. When I was researching this, I also see that Aladdin has the same issue. I purchased it years ago, along with the two sequels, all in HD. The entire series, as well as Mrs Doubtfire show on my other MA linked retailers. The two sequels show up in DTV purchased folder, but the original Aladdin doesn't.

Hi ron_s,

You had reported issues with the Aladdin movies back in July 2020 and there's been issues that were addressed since then. Try unlinking and re-linking your DIRECTV account to MA at Sign In | Movies Anywhere. I see that DIRECTV has those movies plus Mrs Doubtfire available in HD so those movies should sync over to DIRECTV.

Let me know if that doesn't work for you.

Thanks,
DTVMAGuru
Mrs Doubtfire finally showed up after relinking twice. Aladdin is still a no-show
