I had a question regarding the list of movies on the HR44. I linked the accounts and can see all my movies on the app. However, on tv, Wpurchase collection, it says 742 total, but I can only see my movies up to the letter "b". Thats the last place it goes when I hit page down. Is there way to access the entire library on tv? is there a setting somewhere I am missing?
Any assistance is appreciated

Hi sdchrgrboy1, make sure you have the 0x13af software version on your Genie server (big box). You can see the version by Menu > Settings > Info & Test. That version completed download Nationally on 6/30. If you have that version already then try unlinking and relinking your DIRECTV account with Movies Anywhere. Let me know it goes!

Well, SD movies in your Movies Anywhere library don't transfer over and there's no option to upgrade them to HD for a small fee, so the 9 SD movies I have I'll have to purchase again (bummer).

Also, there are three bugs that I ran into:
1) The original "Steven King's IT" was in my Movies Anywhere account prior to linking. DIRECTV thinks this is the "IT" released in 2017. After linking, Movies Anywhere still lists the correct movie.
2) Two movies that I purchased elsewhere I apparently purchased in 4K. After linking, they show up in the purchases list with a red circle. The only way to play them is to press Play, wait for an error message stating my TV doesn't support 4K, select the option to Search for matching programs, and then play the 1080p or HD version of the movie from that menu. I would've expected it to just play one of those versions automatically instead of making me go through that whole process.
3) One of my movies that was purchased on DIRECTV shows up twice in the purchased list after linking.

Hi ron_s,

DIRECTV only sells movies in HD or 4K right now unfortunately. Good idea for having an option to upgrade the SD movies to HD for a small fee. Perhaps DIRECTV will offer that in the future. It depends too on what their agreement is with Movies Anywhere on implementing that option.

1) The wrong IT movie being synched to DIRECTV sounds like a bug for sure that will hopefully be addressed soon
2) The experience for the 4K movie bought from another retailer is not ideal for sure and will hopefully be improved in a future release! Scooby-Doo: Return to Zombie Island.

When I go into the first one, it says "This pay per view was purchased at 12:02a, Fri, Jun 5."

The second one says "This pay per view was purchased at 9:48a, Thu, July 2."

If I record one, it shows both as recorded. So it does realize it's the same movie. Not a big deal, just odd.

Good news! I was able to help get the right IT movie sync to DIRECTV. As you may have guessed, I have a connection with DIRECTV. I was able to recreate the issue last week and have been working with the team here to fix IT. I see the 1990 version now on the DIRECTV mobile app, Genie, and at directv.com.

Please check your DIRECTV account. You may have to unlink your DIRECTV account from MA and relink to MA to see the change. If you still see the wrong IT version let me know.

As for duplicate titles on STB, we are investigating that. Would you be willing to provide info to help the team fix that issue? If so, just send a STB log by typing in SENDREPORT from Smart Search and provide the log name.

thanks for your feedback as I'm interested in fixing all the bugs I can. There should be more MA users in a few weeks as we plan to promote MA on DIRECTV soon!

the team is working on the missing and wrong titles you reported on the STB. It's an ID mapping issue so we know the root cause and we're working on a fix as fast as we can.

In the meantime you can watch the sequels for free for now! Once the mismapped title issue is addressed, you won't be able to access those sequels any longer.

Hi! Thanks for the response! And actually I had purchased the sequels, not the originals. While I have you, I have another question. There are two movies I purchased from my HR24, one is still recorded on it and able to view, the other was deleted. There's no way to get them to show up in my purchased folder is there? And if I'm correct, I'm basically screwed on the movie that was deleted, because it won't let me watch it without paying again if I search for it again.

i have just linked my MA account to Directv. At this point, i don't see any movies under "purchases". I actually don't see any reference to MA anywhere i look thru my receiver.

I have HR44/500 running 0x1420. What can i do so that this receiver can see my MA movies.

See below checklist in order to see MA titles on the receiver. If you still have issues, let me know!

1) Registration with Movies Anywhere
You've done this already

2) Linked to MA with your DIRECTV account
You've done this already

3) Have a compatible internet connected DIRECTV equipment
Make sure your HR44 is broadband connected

4) Check Purchased Collection on your receiver for any MA titles purchased from DIRECTV or another linked retailer.
Shortcut to do this is to press the List button on your remote control

5) You have another retail account linked to MA
Other MA retailers include iTunes, Amazon Prime, Vudu, Fandango NOW, Microsoft Movies, Xfinity, Comcast X1, FiOS, and Google Play

6) You bought an MA title from another linked MA retailer
In order for MA titles to show up in your Purchases Collection on your receiver, you'll have to purchase the movie either from DIRECTV or another linked MA retailer. Note that rentals are not eligible for MA. You have to buy the MA title.

7) The MA title you bought from another linked MA retailer is in HD format or higher
DIRECTV only has movies that can be purchased in HD in their catalog

8) The MA title you bought from the other linked MA retailer is available from DIRECTV
You can search for the MA title on your receiver, directv.com, or the DIRECTV mobile app to confirm DIRECTV has it in their catalog

9) Has it been 24 hours since you linked your DIRECTV account to MA?
Sometimes it takes 24 hours for the MA title to sync from the other retailer account to DIRECTV

I recently added the movie "1917" to my Movies Anywhere account but it doesn't show in my DIRECTV link. It shows in the other links (Vudu, iTunes, Google Play and Prime Video). That said, it appears the DIRECTV link isn't receiving data from Movies Anywhere and might be the reason for your movies not appearing.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse & Spider-Man 2 don't show in my purchase folder despite being in my Movies Anywhere library. All of my other movies are showing including the original film & sequels to them.

Fix was deployed earlier today. It should take effect by noon CST tomorrow (12/3). I bought "1917" from Prime when I saw MysteryMan's post and it didn't show up on my STB, mobile app, or directv.com a couple of days ago. I'll check if this title appears on DIRECTV tomorrow and let you know. Feel free to check your DIRECTV accounts too. Thanks for your patience.

It's past 12:00 CST. I just checked my DIRECTV link and I'm still not seeing the movie "1917" in my DIRECTV link. It was added to my Movies Anywhere account on Friday, 27 November 2020 so it appears my DIRECTV link is still not receiving data from my Movies Anywhere account.

Yes I don't see "1917" either on DIRECTV. I'm following-up with the team to see why it's not showing up. It sounds like Steve had success in seeing many of his movies on DIRECTV after he unlinked & relinked his DIRECTV account. Can you try doing that as well? Let me know if that works.

i disconnected and reconnected MA and my movies are now showing up. I now need to figure out the resolutions issues, but at least they are there. Thanks a lot for the help.

Glad to hear you see movies showing up on DIRECTV now after unlinking and relinking your DIRECTV account. For resolution:

- If you bought any movies in SD resolution from other linked retailers, then you won't see those movies on DIRECTV because DIRECTV does not sell any movies in SD resolution, only HD or 4K.
- If you bought any movies in 4K resolution from other linked retailers and DIRECTV does not have them in their catalog, then you'll see the HD version if DIRECTV has that version. DIRECTV should have most of the 4K MA-eligible movies in their catalog.

Try unlinking and relinking your DIRECTV account. The team here checked the Resident Evil: Apocalypse title and everything looks good. We have the title so you should see it on DIRECTV. Let me know if unlink/relink resolves the issue for you. Thanks!

Good to know. Hopefully that will work for MysteryMan as well. I am going to not unlink and relink for now because it's not reasonable to ask all the DIRECTV customers to do that. There's an audit process that MA can initiate for DIRECTV that I'm going to ask them to do. Thanks!

I just unlinked/relinked my DIRECTV account with my Movies Anywhere account. I then checked my DIRECTV link and the movie "1917" now appears in my list. Hopefully the fix kicked in and we won't have to unlink/relink every time we add a movie to our account.

I hear you. I just bought a movie from iTunes and I see it on DIRECTV so it looks like the fix worked for any movies purchased after the fix deployment. You shouldn't have to unlink and relink to see any new movie purchases from other retailers on DIRECTV.
