I had a cousin sign up for it. It cost alot of money for equipment and installation. They were very disappointed in the speed.

Thanks for the reply. :)
We have had DSL service here for sometime now.I was basically curious if anyone here on the forums have had any experience with it.
We will most likely stay with our local DSL service.Overall,we've been pretty satisfied with it.

Way back in the day of no cablemodems nor DSL in my area, I had DirecPC and later Starband. What I said then about Satellite Internet is still true.

It sucks less than dialup!

ANY other service is much better, more stable, quicker and no throttling bandwidth when you hit the 'fair access policy' limits. Those limits are not often published, nor are they enforced equally.

Stay with DSL, satellite internet is a last resort if you can not get cable internet, DSL, or wireless internet or EVDO
Ditto! I have a couple of coworkers who have it because it is there only option. Both say it's better than dialup but not by much.
