Disable Dish 311's OSD?

Sorry, no way to do this...

So, what's the problem with the OSD. It only displays for a few seconds at channel change. Set the TiVo to start recording 1 minute before the show starts, so you'll not get any OSD in your show. I do it all the time with my TiVos and a 301 and a 622.

What you are referring to is called the "Browse-Banner". Hitting the cancel button will make it go away faster, but that is a manual process.

I actually liked it when my VCR would record a few seconds of the browse-banner, it helped to identify the program.

If you had a E* DVR you would not see it, unless you asked for it - then it would be available at the touch of a button throughout the program.
