I see this. Is this really true? I set stand by yo off.

I see a daily reset option as which accomplishes what the stand by mode does.

I have mine set to the default four hours. I agree with your logic that the nightly reboot will take care of the "problem" of setting the inactivity timer to off.

That is why I showed both photographs to get opinions. Still that did not solve the problem of the Hopper rebooting when there is a weak local channel recordings that occasionally fades out.

That is a different trigger and is something users cannot turn off. Apparently DISH is having issues with preventing "reboot on weak local signal" so it isn't something they can turn off either (a bug, not a feature).

If there is a next model there will be improvements. Additional features. Bigger hard drive. Faster processor. That sort of thing. But new models are not intended as bug fixes. They are intended as feature enhancements.
