When comparing signal quality, are you using the same receiver? The new receivers are on a scale of 0-100.dakn2 said:I was disappointed in the decrease of the signal strength (I had previously peaked almost all transponders at over 110 and several pegged at 125 - I very, very rarely had rain fade, unlike my neighbors) but was aware that it would happen.
You may not need a DPP44. The Dish1000 can drive two receivers without an external switch. If you're keeping at least two SD receivers, you'll need the DPP44.Was I correct that my install only require a DP Plus 44 switch?
If you return one of your existing receivers, they'll give you a $25 credit. There are few takers.2) When I ordered the upgrade I specifically asked if I had to trade in my existing 510 receiver (I had paid for it in a previous upgrade - it's not a lease) and was told no; suddenly yesterday UPS drops an empty receiver box off with nothing inside except a return label. Are they expecting me to return my "owned" 501 receiver? Do I have to return it? If so, is it possible to return another older receiver instead of my 510?
