an 1-5/8" pole in a 5 gallon pail of cement works really well on an apartment balcony.

Pole needed is 1-5/8" galvanized steel line post for chain link fence from Home Depot.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think after reviewing my patio area, the obstructions in the way with some overgrown bushes that they won't trim, and the building in the way of the satellite view...

I'm switching to AT&T U-Verse service on Monday.

My parents, sister, grandparents all still have Dish Network however, so I'm still part of the E* family. (Plus when I finally get my house I'll be back with E*)
