dish 301 receiver with a king dome satellite dish

i have a dish network 301 receiver that I am trying to connect to a king dome satellite dish on the roof of my rv. It will find the satellites (110 and 119) but will not allow me to view any channels. It states that I do not have access to that channel or something like that.
The dealer that I bought the RV from 'reprogrammed' the receiver and it worked great until I made a mistake and tried to use the receiver in the home and it became useless in the rv.
Any help???

Is the message "you do not have a subscription to this service"? call 800-333-3474 select tech support and they should be able to talk you through it.
Did you run the check switch procedure?
Most of the RV satellite domes only have one dual lnb and no switch.

Right, which means the RV shop has a custom configuration that mimics the King Dome antenna, so that he can Check Switch the receiver with the correct configuration. Since no one else is likely to know what that is or have that configuration available, the answer to the problem is to take the receiver back to the RV dealer to have him reconfigure it. And then, LEAVE IT ALONE! Custom is CUSTOM for a reason!
I don't know about KingDome, but some RV antennae will do a check switch. Some must be configured for DishNetwork or DirecTv and only one of their Techs. is allowed to do this.

We need to know which King-Dome model is on the coach:

The 9702 will only look at one sat but may have a switch to manually change to another (i.e. 101<->110<->119<->129 so it works with either D or E KU band).

The 9704 DVB will switch automatically but it needs to be configured with provider and sat configuration (i.e. Dish 500=110 & 119). Same with in-motion. Again KU band.

I had the same problem and after a year of aggrevation I finally got a dish network tech on the the phone that knew what was going on.You have to run CHECK SWITCH through all the steps and when you finnish you hit SAVE and that clears it from the last receiver you had it connected to.It will work, because I would always run the check switch, but never hit save,it didn't make since to hit save;but it works.

good luck............jj
