To late in the year to even contemplate this. With elections coming and if the Dems sweep, this merge talk will be shelved again to possibly after the next non presidential election and only if the Dems are kicked out. Competition is a good thing.projectorguru said:

If something like this were to happen I doubt too much of either subs service would change, atleast, for a while. It'd be a looonng transitioning period.
Both services offer VOD, Both offer HD content, PPV, Locals, etc etc etc.
The differences in what they offer are very minor.
The big step will be making a satellite dish (and receiver) that can pick up DirecTVs 99 through Dishes 129
