Promos are usually for new customers only. Depending on how long is left in the commitment, maybe some dealing can happen?
How much if she had to pay regular price?Taco Lover said:Promos are usually for new customers only. Depending on how long is left in the commitment, maybe some dealing can happen?
She needs a dual tuner, I'm not familiar with dish receivers at all. What DVR should she ask for. She doesn't need anything special just a standard dual tuner DVR.boba said:What model of DVR are they going to upgrade her to? There should be at least 5 model of DVR they could upgrade her to 522/625/612/622 & 722, they may even still have some 510's in the leasing system still. All but the 510 are dual tuner DVRs so she could also be subject to a $5 additional outlet fee on top of the $5.98 DVR fee.
Usually, they will insist on the Installed option when there is only a single tuner receiver that has been there for a while (no DishPro Plus LNB to support a dual tuner receiver on a single coax). If they are quoting $50 for a dual tuner DVR (522 or 625), she'd get a better deal that I would. They MIGHT be quoting $50 for a single tuner 510 (isn't even listed as a choice for me). That wouldn't require an Install because it is a single tuner replacing a single tuner.2 TV

A 522 is the "oldest" DVR model that can be leased. You can only get a 510 as an RA, or possibly from a local dealer who still has them in inventory.CABill said:They MIGHT be quoting $50 for a single tuner 510 (isn't even listed as a choice for me).
