My inlaws live in lower Delaware and are looking to goto Dish from Comcast. The only issue I see now is that they can not get any local channels with the new rules. With an OTA antenna, they get 2 PBS, ABC and CBS. In the past with Dish, they could get the Baltimore locals which covers their area.

What options do they have now other than Direct TV. They already have Skyangel and were hoping to stay with Dish.

As far as I recall, there aren't any "new" rules. If you are talking about Sussex County, it was never "eligible" for Baltimore local channels, as Sussex County has always been in the Salisbury market.

Neither DirecTV nor Dish Network would be much help for Salisbury locals, as neither is carrying them.

I am not sure if the Baltimore stations were ever offered to the entire Salisbury market. My guess would be no, since I believe a waiver would still need to be received if anyone is in range of an NBC or Fox station. If so, the Baltimore locals would have had to have been offered as distants. But anything is possible.
