No way! Are you kidding me? I'll be forced to switch.

One question - how do you get out of a contract early without taking it in the pocket book? You would think that there is just cause to change subscibers once Dish doesn't supply MLB packages.

I think I signed a 2 year agreement last April or so when I got the VIP622. I paid $300. Does anyone know what I will need to do?

this switch to directv would just be for the extra innings package, right? we will all largely still get to watch the cubs on WGN. and the yankees on YES network (oh wait...nevermind about the yankees on yes network).

you will end pay like $13 per month left on your contract. A channel switching to a different provided does not constitute you getting out of your contract for free.

I would only switch to Directv for MLB EI if Directv offers an HD version
like they offer for Sunday NFL Ticket. My guess is that with all this talk of 150
National HD channels for Directv by mid 2007, Directv would offer an HD
version of MLB EI and that is why they are negotiating for an exclusive.

As I said in the other thread, I orginally signed up for Dish to get MLB EI
because my local cable company did not offer it and my local cable
company was not providing CSN Philadelphia. I am now getting Fios TV
this month which has CSN Philadelphia HD, SNY HD and YES HD in its channel
lineup for my county in NJ. However, I would still sign up for an HD version
of MLB EI with Directv. I just purchased a 1080P TV yesterday in anticipation
of my Fios installation. I now will have three HD sets (one 1080P and two
768P). Once you start watching live sports in HD on a 60" set, you do not go
back to watching SD on the same set. You find other things to do with your
time.
