Dish mount vs LNB's

Maybe some guru's can shed some light on this.

I have a 1m winegard dish that has the 3 lnb support arms that come together and attach to a ring that holds the legacy LNB.

I want to upgrade my system to use DishPro components but all I see is the DP LNB's that have some sort of integral mount to a typical dishnetwork dish.

How can I accomplish this? is there a bracket I have to buy or perhaps new support arms?

Thanks,

I found that the difference is a "universal" LNB mount vs a "D-shape" mount.

Anyone know of a trick or adapter to use a dp single lnb with a universal mount?

I read where some have taken the plastic shroud off and exposed a neck or throat that works with the universal mount.

Any help would be appreciated
I think you have the right idea. In fact you can get them with out the cover.
Woow I have to make five post before I can add any links.:eek2: Try ebay and do a search for Item number: 260277369677.
Good luck
I'm far from having the knowledge others here do, but I'd consider getting three Winegard dishes with the Dchannel arm (no LNB mounting problems at all) and either a DP34 or DPP44 switch. I think the largest dish for that is only 30". If you juryrig a 1m dish to use three LNBs, my guess is you will see some signal strength loss because of the dish shape. Good luck and keep us posted.
