Hi fellow DBS members,
A few days ago I called [email protected] to switch over my landline to my new address her in Newport Beach,California. They said, "no problem, but it will be cheaper if you buy in bulk". I told her I was confused and she said, "Well if you want Satellite (America's Top 120 and DSL(3.0 Megahertz) then I can combine them for a total monthly bill of $75.23(before taxes). I told her my wife and I just purchased a 60" LCD and needed HD. She said that would be an additional $10.00 per month, but I would get free local channels, Fox Sports West(an absolute must) and a free premium movie channel of my choice for three months. She then says I will get over 26 channels of HD programming, so obviously I'm pretty excited to hear this news. Come to find out when the guy comes to install the HD Dish he brings the VIP 211(as expected) but said, "Oh you need to sign up for the high defintion packages if you want them. Right now your only getting HBO HD from what I see here on the invioce." I'm still getting free local channels, and oddly all of the Showtime channels as well. Does this mean, I actually have to call Dish Network and order a package to get the HD channels? How this affecft the rate since I chose to put interent/landline/satellite/cell phone all on one bill. I'm thinking if I call them up and try and do this, they will just try and find ways to gauge more money out of me. I thought when I bundles everything into one, I got all the HD channels as the woman said on the phone.:nono2:
Any help would be appreciated.
