Is this really a money thing or a failure to negotiate or we just black it out because we don't know?
Anyhow, it is not blacked out on DirecTV.

I also get the impression they just black out based on other services' availability. For example, the Yankee games aired on ESPN stations and the YES network were blacked out for Dish on ESPN...making it impossible to see the game.
I assume this was done as YES had the local rights, but since most NYers can't get YES, I have trouble understanding the rationale....
Seems silly to me.
