Well, it figures.
My original installation date was the 28th.
I called back and changed it to the 14th...tomorrow.
When I called to confirm my appointment, and they still had me down for the 28th.
They then changed it to the 21st. Then I was transferred and they told me that my install was on Sunday the 15th. Then they realized they were looking at the wrong account..someone named Mrs. Jones (and I'm a guy).
They looked again, and found that the appointment was again scheduled for the 28th. I told the rep. that it was changed to the 21st after I changed it and they messed up on the 14th installation date. So now it's the 21st.
Whaaaa?
Any way they said one of the receivers being sent beside the 622 is a 322. I was told the 322 is dual tuner.
Now, after all this confusion, I don't know what to believe. Of course the 622 is dual tuner, but is it true that the 322 is dual tuner (standard signal)?
If so, I won't have to activate my old 501...unless the 501 has a better interface.
Any info on this confusing situation would be helpful.
Thanks

Yes, the 322 is dual tuner. I use mine for two SD televisions on opposite sides of the house. The only real limitation I have found is I don't think it will allow stereo sound on TV2. It hooks up like the 622 using existing coax in the house. It has two separate tuners (one for each television). The only thing I would like added is a picture-in-picture capability if only using one TV at the time.
No stereo on 2nd TV? That's ridiculous. I might just have the old 501 activated after all...unless the user interface is outdated.

And the 322 is NOT a DVR so if you're needing a 2nd DVR, you may want to keep the 501.
The extra DVR would be a luxury...however, with the 322 would I get stereo sound if I hooked TV2's audio output directly to my surround sound system?

I think that would work, but have not tried myself. I know on the 622, you can use the stereo audio outs from the back of the unit. Of course, you would need a system that plays in the TV2 room, but is located with the 622 itself. I'm not sure if the 322 has audio outs on the back or not. I have never bothered to look as it is seldom used right now.

I just looked on E*s website at a picture of the back of a 322. It sure looks like it has stereo outputs. So, presuming you have whole-house audio or such, you should be able to make it work.
Oh well. Looks like I'll pay for the extra $5 for the 501 receiver to run in stereo!
