I ignored this thread until I got the email this morning:
If this email came to my adult daughter who has had excellent service from Dish personnel in San Francisco it might seem like a good option.
On the other hand, I have to assume that I got the email because Dish has completely restructured their entire installation organization in my area and directly hired installers that get paid well plus good benefits.
It used to be that it was done through a contractor Dish hired who then subcontracted to anyone willing to try it who owned a pickup. I described my experience with my HD installation - you can read it by clicking on "My AV Setup" in my signature. From there, there's a link to a post I did here about a repair done because... well, anyway...
I have yet to have anyone arrive sent via Dish who I'd let near my TV, surround-sound system, wireless network, or Wii. It's not that they don't try hard or that they aren't personable (even if some barely speak English). It's just that most of the time, they simply don't know what they are doing.
