I have a dish dvr 625 and when i use the guide, it doesn't let me go back

why wont the guide even let me go back even 5 minutes. when i had time warner cable, i could jump forward 1 week and also go back about 5 or 6 hours.

why cant the dish dvr do that



PS are there any hidden option menus or settings in the dish dvr 625?

I finally got used to that after I got my 625 last year. My ReplayTV will go back a day or a day and a half. And since I have the Replay hooked up to a 311, I can still go back if I need to.

But to answer your question about why Dish doesn't do it - I haven't the foggiest idea.

that sucks

i was 5 minutes too late when i got home

so i missed a special cartoon that might not come on again until a few weeks later

the box doesn't even let you go back 1 second

not i cant set a timer for if the show comes on again

Just have your unit record anything you might be interested in. No more getting home late for anything.

My unit just finished recording the second part of a two part series. So, I just started watching the first episode. When its done, I can start watching the second part.

Nothing worse than having to watch something interesting when a local TV station decides to broadcast it. Same for having to sit through commercials about something I'm not interested in.
