I've had my Hopper/Joey system now for about 3 weeks and overall I'm very pleased with the performance and features.

One feature I really like is DishOnLine where I'm supposed to be able to search the Guide and set timers for programs to be recorded. Unfortunately this works only sporadically.

Here's what happens - I select a program to record, get the option to record this movie, which then gives a confirmation of DVR set. However, it isn't set when I check the Hopper. The first week I had it, this feature worked every once and a while. I chatted online with Dish Support and they advised that the engineers were working on the issue and that I should try to start a new session or change browsers. This has no effect at all now.

Also in the past few days the guide itself (in DishOnLine) cannot not be updated to show times other than the date and time it starts with. If you select a new time or date the display does not update.

I have no problems setting timers on the Hopper directly.

Are these problems that others are still facing or does anyone have any suggestions?

I logged into my account and viewed the Guide information for my Hopper. When I selected a program to record, it did as you stated, displaying the options, one being to record the program. After I selected Record, a Rec icon was placed within the Guide for that program.

I was able to manuever around the Guide by selecting the Right Arrow on the right of the Guide or by selecting a day and/or Time from the drop down boxes, I was using Chrome, IE, and FF.

Does your Hopper have the S2.12 software version? For the issue with the new Timer not displaying in the Timers List, I have posed the question to our engineers on a resolution. My Hopper had the same results. Thanks.

Thanks for replying Ray. Yes I am running S2.12 software. I neglected to mention that just as you report, the Rec icon was shown in the DishOnLine Guide for items selected in while in the guide. Again, the Hopper guide did not reflect this and indeed the programs were not recorded.

I just tried again to maneuver through the guide and realized the guide does move UNLESS you select one of the filters. I realized I've never tried to use the DishOnLine Guide without using the Movies filter. Does that work for you?

I appreciate you passing this up the line. When it works, being able to filter movies and select for recording online is a very nice feature.
