Do I need to switch to a SWM system?

I'm running a 5LNB with two coax wires running to my HR23-700. I'm moving and my installer said I should go to a SWM setup with multi switch. Why do I need to switch? What are the benefits? I'm not going to be using Internet. I only have 1 TV.

Two reasons to switch. First, you only need a single coax coming down from the SWM LNB assembly, easier install at the new location. Second, all new DirecTV equipment (such as the HR34 or the H25) are SWM only, so if you upgrade or add anything in the future, you will need SWM.
Ok cool, I'll do it. Thx
Though not sure why the installer said a "SWM setup with multi-switch."

For only one receiver, you don't need an external SWIM multi-switch option.
wonder if he was thinking if i wanted to run a 2nd receiver in the future.

You wouldn't even need the option for that.

I think perhaps that was just his way of describing a SWiM-LNB. The reference to a "multi-switch" is for the integrated SWiM(ulti-switch) in the LNB.
Ok cool. Thanks peeps. :)
