Do R15s come with an RF remote?

I'm used to my 622 with DISH, and the RF remotes that come with their receivers.

Moving out of my home for a while (or for good), I'm moving to an apartment complex that only offers D*.
I've got nothing against Directv, and did even try them for a year before returning to DISH. However, at that time the R15 just came out, and I went through 4 boxes in 9 months. I'm sure most kinks have been worked out...I hope!

First, some people say that they get a 30 second 'skip' with the r15, which is what I prefer, but most say it comes with a 'slip'. I don't know what to expect there.

But, does the R15 come with an RF remote yet?...or will I have to get a converter kit like I did last time? Just curious.

Nope. Only the HD DVRs come with a RF remote. For an R15 you'll need the RF antenna and an RF [ RC64R ] remote. After that a one minute setup procedure is all you need. RF remotes can be purchased through D* but verify if it comes with the antenna. It won't work properly with the antenna.

It is more a "slip" since you can see the picture advancing through the 30 seconds.

Latest software versions for the R15 / R16 are very stable.

Ask for the R15 RF Kit.That the RC64RB(DirecTV's latest RF remote with backlighted buttons)with the RF antenna.It's $30. +tax at DirecTV(Shipping is included in the price).I have one and highly recommend it.

You'll like the RF remote. And when you get it, let us know and we'll tell you the secret to set up your R15 so it responds to your new RF remote and the IR remote that came with it at the same time.
