So I got my email today telling me I could use DOD from the website and while it seems cool, there seem to be some pretty big oversights

1. You can only download a show to a single receiver at a time. If you have multiple receivers that should get the same show, I guess you'll need to get out of the schedule and go back in. Unfortunately, it doesn’t keep a history of what you're currently downloading, so you need to remember which receiver is currently getting the download.
2. No history of what's currently scheduled. In # 1 above, I couldn’t remember which receiver was getting the download and the website only said it was being downloaded. So since I clicked a couple of times because the site was slow, I'm not sure which DVR got the recording.
3. I'll see if it worked when I get home, but even though I don’t subscribe to Starz, I was able to schedule a recording. When I tried this in the past from the DVR, I thought it told me that I didn’t have the service so it wouldn't download.

Anyway, cool concept. I just wish they would have thought about some of the basic scheduling items ahead of time. It would also be nice to let me see what's in the queue so I can kill/adjust the downloads.

If it did download, I suspect you will not be able to watch it without subscribing to Starz. When I canceled Showtime the VOD shows would not play.

Did the show download to your receiver?
I tried ti download 3 shows and they did not download to my unit. I can download thru the receiver no problems. Test show Network and Internet OK.

Same thing happened to me. I reset both units, both are now able to get internet downloads

Reseting receivers did not work.
However, once I selected to purchase the starter kit and then retried to download, it worked as expected. Before I just clicked the button that I was already connected to the internet. What ever was wrong it is fixed now, it has worked every time since.

The 2 shows I downloaded from Noggin showed up, but the one from Starz never arrived.

The 2 shows I downloaded from Noggin showed up, but the one from Starz never arrived.

I tried a Starz download during the preview, and the history for that download said I was not authorized for that channel/subscription. So if you do not subscribe to that package it will not download. Also if you downloaded a program and then canceled the package you will not be able to view the show either.
