My R15 is dying. i ordered a replacement through the protection planned so it will be owned. Will this extend my contract? I got my R15 last Feb. before the lease program started. and i have i year from Feb. I do not want to extend, as I want out ASAP. I have a Tivo in strorage (35 hr), should i keep the dying one and just return the replacement and use the TiVo to avoid contract extension? I am ready to just pay the darn cancellation fee adn return both my TiVos, the R15 and the flip top (SL10D10). Thanks for any input. 
a side note: I just activated a SL10D10 and they told me my contract is for 1 year, did that erase my 2 year commitment?
Also has anyonelse's R15 started acting wierd on Thurs. 10-5?, rebooting and download 10d3 over and over again, pic freezing, audio continuing?
