DP34 and 61.5 - to PVR 921

762 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  jsaki2000
Well I got hold of PVR 921 and per E* tech bought a DP34 switch. Now I can see 119 channels coming through DP34(Dish 500 dual LNB), but not 61.5 (with old 18 inch dish).

When I called E*, the techie won't tell me anything. They just wanted a installer to come to my home for 99 bucks!. And I been with Dish for the last 8 years!!

Do I need any more switches so that I can combine 119 and 61.5 feeds?

Any help will be deeply appreciated!

Thanks to everyone!

What is your exact setup? Something is not right, when done right the DP34 does work. I have DP Twin head used for 119 and 110 (you should have two wires into ports 1 and 2 on the switch, and a DP duo on 61.5 and connected into port 3. Check your wiring and lnb types as it could also be a legacy duo on 61.5.
It should be as garys says, and I suspect he's also identified your problem. How old is that old 18" dish? Not that it matters for the dish, but its LNB must be DishPro (will have a dp logo) for use with the DP34. You didn't mention 110, so you need either a 2nd DP Dual on the Dish 500, or a DP Twin.

Thanks for both replies!!!

My 61.5 dish is reall really old. I don't think it has DP lnb. It is single LNB as well.

So if I get a single DP LNB I should be ok?

So far I have connected 1-2 to Dish 500 (119/110) and 3 to 61.5 legacy.

Thanks again!!

Hope this means you have two lines connected to the Dish 500, and yes a single DP lnb should do it. (Note: DP is marked on a DP lnb, DPP marked on a DPP lnb, those with nothing on it is a legacy lnb.)

Yes. I have connected two lines from 500 to 1-2 of DP34.

I will get a DP dual/single LNB and connect to 3 port of DP34.

Thanks!
